Official Plan
The Township of Scugog's Official Plan describes the policies on how land within the municipality should develop and be used in the future. The Ontario Municipal Board approved the Township of Scugog's Official Plan on March 2, 2011.
The Official Plan is typically reviewed every five ten years to ensure that it remains current and up to date. This review also provides an opportunity to ensure that the Plan's policies continue to address the changing needs of the community.
Changes to the Official Plan
New development and redevelopment proposals may require changes to the Official Plan. Public input through the Official Plan Amendment process is important. To apply for an amendment to Scugog's Official Plan, complete the Official Plan Amendment Guide and Application and submit it to the Planning department.
