Family Day Fun
The Township of Scugog is happy to welcome back the Family Day Fun event Monday, February 19, 2024, at the Scugog Community Recreation Centre.
The recreation team, in partnership with community sponsors, offers free activities for families including:
- Crafts
- Games
- Inflatables
- Balloon making
- Face painting
- Magic shows
- Fire truck tours with the Scugog Fire Department
- Family photo booth with the Port Perry Lions Club
- FREE public skating sponsored by Scugog Mechanical and Taylor Forder Insurance
- and more!
Participants will use their “Passport to Fun” to check off all the activities they can which is then entered into a draw for a chance to win a free summer camp registration.
Due to the large success of our 2023 event, families are required to pre-register for a timeslot to allow for full participation in the activities. Timeslots are available from:
- Timeslot #1: 9:00 to 11:00 am
- Timeslot #2: 11:15 to 1:15 pm
- Timeslot #3: 1:30 to 3:30 pm.

Questions and Answers
Can I just show up the day of the event and get let in?
Due to the large crowds in previous years of the event, we encourage everyone wanting to attend to secure a spot by pre-registering for a timeslot. If space allows, we would allow more participants to enter on the day of at the door, however, if the facility is at capacity you could be turned away at the door if you have not pre-registered.
Where do I find my confirmation?
You can print your confirmation on the last screen of registration. If you miss it you can find your confirmations on your registration account by going to:

- Select your name
- Schedules
- Select your name
- Switch to list view
- Actions
You will also be sent a confirmation one week prior to the event.
What time is the free skating?
The free skating is included in each pre-registered timeslot. If you would like to attend the free skates, please pre-register for the timeslot you would like to attend.
Do I have to pre-register everyone who is coming with me?
Yes, every family member that is attending must be pre-registered individually.
There will be three magic shows throughout the day. One in each pre-registered timeslot.
